- Valtteri Bottas’s Cadillac “Seat Test” Goes VIRAL! Is This His 2026 F1 Audition?
Alright, folks, buckle up, because Valtteri Bottas, our favorite Finnish stoic-turned-comedian , is at it again.
The whispers linking him to a 2026 Formula 1 seat with the new Team Cadillac have been louder than a pit lane horn. And what does Valtteri do? He pokes fun at it, naturally, with a social video that's just peak Bottas .

Imagine this: Val, casually strolling towards a sleek Cadillac SUV. His mission? A highly scientific inspection of the "two free seats" inside. With cameraman Paul Ripke playing along, our man Valtteri Bottas practically swooned over the leather, declaring, "Oh wow, that's actually a nice seat," adding, "I wouldn't mind." When Ripke pointed out the two seats, Bottas's deadpan "And they're both free?" was comedy gold. The ultimate tease? When asked if he wanted to sit, a smiling Bottas quipped, "Not yet."
Honestly, if this is the new F1 negotiation tactic, we're all here for it. Cadillac is indeed joining the F1 when the regulations shift in 2026, and those two seats are hot property. But don't let the jokes fool you, as Valtteri Bottas is serious. Having returned to Mercedes as a reserve driver, he's adamant he's not done yet with F1 and feels he has more to give. He sees the Cadillac project as very interesting, giving him a chance to "start from scratch," he recently revealed.

So, while he might be inspecting car interiors on Instagram today, it looks like Valtteri Bottas is closing in on an F1 return with Cadillac for 2026. We can't wait to see if those Cadillac seats are as comfy at 200 mph.
