After watching fans speculate about Kuminga's status upon exiting the court, Golden State's PR team officially announced on their social media account that the recently re-signed forward 's night is over as the game versus Victor Wembanyama and company approached its conclusion .
Coming off the bench for a Warriors team that has struggled considerably on the road so far in 2025-26, Kuminga didn't get much going on early against the Spurs, missing the one shot he attempted from the field while bringing in four boards over 12 minutes. With Kuminga out, Kerr doubled down on his top-8, with Al Horford , Buddy Field, and Brandin Podziemski each recording at least 13 minutes of action heading into the fourth quarter.
While only time will tell what the future holds for Kuminga in a Golden State uniform, he has been a key part of the Warriors' lineup so far this season, starting all 12 games he appeared in before the Spurs clash while averaging 14.9 points, 3.1 assists, and 6.8 rebounds per game and shooting 48.1 percent from the field plus 33.3 percent from beyond the arc.
If Kuminga is unable to play for any period of time due to his knee soreness, the Warriors will have to reconfigure their lineup to make up for his 29 minutes of action per game.
