Just like it has been in years past, the AFC is a complete bloodbath. This year, there are a lot of teams that have a legitimate claim to the throne. The Buffalo Bills are among these teams, but their foothold on top of the conference is starting to crumble. With other teams coming for their spot, the team needs to make sure that they stay ahead of their competition.
With that in mind, the Bills need to clear some space for their potential moves at the trade deadline. There are a few players on the team who could be moved in order to clear up roster space as well as recoup some future draft picks.

Being a top contender in the league, the Bills don't really have any high-profile trade candidates. Teams like the Indianapolis Colts, Philadelphia Eagles, and Arizona Cardinals have players who can still fetch good draft capital. These teams are willing to part with these good players because their trajectory for this season doesn't look good. Buffalo, on the other hand, is contending this season. They're not that willing to trade their good players.

However, the Bills do have a few players that could draw some interest from teams looking to bolster their depth. Lloyd Cushenberry was signed by Buffalo as a depth piece behind center Connor McGovern, but a team might look to bolster their IOL depth. However, Buffalo's own lack of depth at offensive line highly disincentivizes trading the former Titans center.
Another potential trade piece is Mike Danna, the former Kansas City Chiefs outside linebacker who signed with the Bills this past offseason. Danna hasn't been too impactful for Buffalo this year, but there are other teams that could use more depth at that position. The problem with Danna, though, is that he's likely not going to fetch any meaningful value from other teams.
There's one player, though, who could benefit from a change of scenery. The Bills signed ex-Chargers wide receiver Josh Palmer back in 2024 to give Josh Allen more help from the wide receiver position. Two years after that signing, Palmer is now buried in Buffalo's wide receiver depth chart. Palmer isn't getting any playing time this season, especially with DJ Moore, Khalil Shakir, and Keon Coleman taking most of the attention.
Still, Palmer proved to be a capable wide receiver back when he was on the Chargers. He was never a true WR1 for Justin Herbert, but he was perfectly serviceable as a tertiary option for Los Angeles. Palmer wasn't able to showcase his talents with the Bills, but perhaps there's a WR-needy team out there that believes that they can rehabilitate him.
If there's one player who needs to get traded midseason, it's Palmer. He's still in the midst of his athletic prime, and Buffalo might be able to recoup a fifth or a sixth-round pick for the disgruntled wide receiver. Still, it's not exactly the end of the world if they're unable to trade him.
