A day after the Chicago Bulls hired Bryson Graham, the Executive VP of Basketball Operations , more is starting to be known about him.
Sports columnist Rod Walker of The Times-Picayune in Louisiana shed light on Graham’s mindset. He said that Graham keeps an old photo of him unloading boxes on his first official day with the New Orleans Pelicans , per 104.3 The Score.
“He doesn’t think anything is too small for him,” Walker said.
Graham was with the Pelicans from 2010 to 2025. He started out as an intern in Basketball Operations and eventually ended up the General Manager in 2024. During his tenure, Graham made critical acquisitions including Nickeil Alexander-Walker , Dyson Daniels , Herb Jones , Trey Murphy III , Naji Marshall , and Jose Alvarado .
This past year, Graham was the Senior Vice President of Basketball Operations for the Atlanta Hawks . The Hawks won 46 games, the most since 2015-16, and made it to the postseason.
Graham’s hiring comes at a time when the Bulls are undergoing a front office overhaul. In April, Chicago fired former VP Arturas Karnisovas and GM Marc Eversley . Then, head coach Billy Donovan stepped down after six seasons .
The search remains for a new head coach, with rumors circulating as to who is the top candidate .
Chicago will host the NBA Draft Lottery on May 10. The Bulls have a 4.5% chance of securing the No.1 draft pick and hold the 9th best lottery odds. Chicago has two first round draft picks after the Portland Trail Blazers defeated the Los Angeles Clippers in their Play-In tournament game in April.
Graham will hold an introductory press conference on Wednesday at noon CST.
