The Detroit Pistons will look to regain control of their second-round series as they take on the Cleveland Cavaliers in Game 4 at Rocket Arena on Monday.
The Cavaliers took Game 3 on Saturday behind the heroics of James Harden , including the dagger three-pointer with 26 seconds left. Cleveland inched closer to Detroit in the best-of-seven affair, 2-1.
The Pistons had multiple chances to seize the momentum in crunch time, but they fell short. Cade Cunningham cut the lead to two, 110-108, with a gutsy three-pointer before Harden sank the crucial bucket.
Detroit is eager to bounce back in Game 4. But will it have a complete lineup?
Pistons’ injury status vs. Cavaliers in Game 4
Kevin Huerter and Caris LeVert were listed as questionable in the NBA’s injury report . Huerter is dealing with an adductory injury, while LeVert is hobbled by a heel injury.
Huerter has yet to play against the Cavaliers, while LeVert has only missed one game in the playoffs. LeVert had six points, two rebounds, and four steals in 17 minutes off the bench in Game 3.
The 31-year-old LeVert has been a key contributor with his size, savvy, and steadiness in the wing, spelling Cunningham, Ausar Thompson , and Duncan Robinson . He has ample experience in the playoffs as well.
If Huerter and LeVert cannot suit up, more playing time will be available for Daniss Jenkins , Javonte Green , and Ron Holland II.
Pistons coach JB Bickerstaff recently stressed the value of playing their young guys in the playoffs.
