The 2026 NBA Draft is here, but not before there were multiple blockbuster trades on Tuesday night. First, the Minnesota Timberwolves, Brooklyn Nets and Chicago Bulls got together on a three-team trade that sent Julius Randle and the No. 28 pick to the Nets and Nic Claxton to the Bulls, with Ayo Dosunmu then agreeing to a massive $112 million contract . Then came the blockbuster trade we'd all been waiting for , as the Miami Heat beat out the Boston Celtics in the Giannis Antetokounmpo sweepstakes. That deal has the No. 13 pick in this draft switching hands.
However, neither of these trades will become officially official until July, so there were some NBA Draft hat shenanigans on Wednesday night after the Heat selected Nate Ament for the Bucks. The top of the draft went chalk with AJ Dybantsa, Darryn Peterson, Cameron Boozer and Caleb Wilson, and the first trade of the night happened when the Memphis Grizzlies traded No. 16 to the Oklahoma City Thunder for No. 17 and two second-round picks. Memphis then traded back from 17 as well with the Detroit Pistons. There were a number of other trades at the end of the first round, including the New York Knicks making multiple deals to get out of the first round entirely.
Our live updates on NBA Draft news, rumors, trades, fallout, and more are below the draft pick order.
