The 2026 NHL Trade Deadline is finally upon us. Teams across the NHL have about 24 hours left to fortify their rosters for the upcoming stretch run. We have seen some massive deals so far. Quinn Hughes was traded to the Minnesota Wild early in the season, while Artemi Panarin was moved to the Los Angeles Kings before the Olympic break.
This week, action got going when the Edmonton Oilers traded for Connor Murphy in a deal with the Chicago Blackhawks . Tuesday night, the Minnesota Wild acquired Michael McCarron from the Nashville Predators , who also traded Cole Smith to the Vegas Golden Knights.
Wednesday brought several more trades, including Tyler Myers heading to the Dallas Stars and MacKenzie Weegar going to the Utah Mammoth . The Oilers also made another trade with the Blackhawks , landing Jason Dickinson .
Thursday saw Nicolas Roy go from the Toronto Maple Leafs to the Colorado Avalanche , while Colton Parayko decided to nix a trade to the Buffalo Sabres . As well, Jeff Petry is headed to the Minnesota Wild as the back-to-back defending champions prepare to move a couple of pending UFAs.
