2026 Packers fantasy preview: Biggest bargain, bust, and wild card
If the season started today, one Packers player would be their biggest fantasy bargain, another a likely bust, and a third a likely wild card.
A bargain is a player who performs better than expected. But that doesn’t mean he performs much better than expected. Savvy fantasy managers will take any edge they can find, no matter how small. That’s what makes Matthew Golden so intriguing. The 2025 first-round rookie flopped to the tune of a 29-361-0 receiving line.
In Green Bay’s spread-the-ball passing attack, he was frequently an afterthought. In fact, his offensive snaps dropped dramatically midseason and didn’t recover until Week 17.
His ADP this summer will probably be around WR45 to WR50. That’s a clear buy sign. Yes, he comes with risks. But he remains a talented young receiver. The market will overlook him. Managers should take him a round early.
Who will be the biggest bust? Josh Jacobs might be quickly approaching his post-prime years. The 28-year-old is a must-start fantasy RB because he (a) is a workhorse, and (b) gets tons of looks near the goal line. He’s coming off a campaign where he netted his second-fewest yards-per-carry in the past five years.
He had the 10th-most RB fantasy points per game, which should keep his ADP in the RB12-14 range. That’s a problem, as he’ll need another season of elite-level goal-line looks and 275+ touches to reach that level. The odds are against him.
That leaves Jordan Love as the wild card. He was undervalued in his first season as the Packers’ full-time starter. Then the market overcompensated, making him overvalued the following summer. Where will he end up in 2026? He has as good a shot at the top 10 as he does finishing outside the top 16.
