- 3 bold predictions for Seahawks’ Week 8 matchup vs. Bears
The Seattle Seahawks will face the Chicago Bears in a Week 8 matchup that will test their ability to execute on both sides of the ball. Seattle will need contributions from its top playmakers and another sweltering performance from its defense to give the team its best shot to secure a statement victory against Chicago. Here are three bold predictions for the primetime showdown slated for this coming Monday night.
Seahawks will limit Caleb Williams to his worst performance of the season
Bears quarterback Caleb Williams enters the matchup with 1,020 passing yards, five touchdowns and one interception, completing 71.0% of his passes this season. However, Seattle's defense will make life difficult for Williams, limiting his opportunities down the field and taking away his ability to be as dynamic as usual when scrambling out of the pocket. Williams will finish with season lows in completion percentage, passing yards and passing touchdowns thanks to Seattle's unit disrupting his rhythm.

AJ Barner posts season-high receiving numbers
AJ Barner has totaled 180 receiving yards on 19 catches this season but has yet to find the end zone through the air. Against the Bears, the Seahawks tight end will break out with season highs in receiving yards and touchdowns. His current season-high in receiving yards is 69 from Week 3. Seattle will be aggressive in attacking underneath and using Barner as a reliable target in key situations. Barner will ultimately record over 70 receiving yards and a receiving touchdown in the game.
Seahawks reserve makes a big difference in win
Seattle's depth will become a major factor as the game unfolds. Tyrice Knight will provide an important spark for the Seahawks with timely defensive stops, physical play and special-teams contributions. Knight himself will go for a sack, quarterback hit and tackle for loss in what will be his biggest game of the year. His impact will swing momentum in Seattle's favor and help the Seahawks take Williams out of his comfort zone and ultimately come away with a win in a hard-fought contest.
