The Alabama Crimson Tide offseason continues to heat up, as four members of the roster were highlighted by The Athletic as "college football freaks."
Every year, Bruce Feldman previews the season by highlighting 100 of the best athletes in the sport.

This annual article can range from power-conference players all the way down to Division III athletes, and the Crimson Tide are well represented in Feldman's iconic feature, so let's dive in.
LT, Jackson Lloyd at #13
Lloyd was one of head coach Kalen DeBoer's first commits when he landed at Alabama.
DeBoer was heavily recruiting Lloyd while he was the coach at Washington, and he valued the relationship that he had built with DeBoer and General Manager Courtney Morgan.
What makes Lloyd so intriguing is that of his overall build. Standing 6-foot-7 at 317 pounds is impressive in itself, but to do so with just 18 percent body fat, he's a rare breed.

Aside from football, he excelled as a basketball and baseball player in high school.
Lloyd is projected to be the starting left tackle for Alabama, to take over for Kadyn Proctor, the three-year starter who went 13th overall in the 2026 NFL Draft to the Miami Dolphins .
When asked about who was going to replace Proctor, offensive coordinator Ryan Grubb made it abundantly clear: Lloyd is the guy.
"He's the left tackle. He's the guy," Grubb stated .
RB, Daniel Hill at #23
When you see a running back with the size of running back Daniel Hill, you may assume one thing, right?
He has to be a bruiser.

While Hill, who came into Fall Camp at 6-foot-1, 234 pounds can punch the ball in at the goal line using his bulky frame, don't mistake him for a slow runner.
Hill has shown to be quite speedy, even wowing the coaching staff around this time last year with his burst.
However, one area Hill needed to improve was his open-field footwork. His standalone speed was impressive, but his ability to get around defenders was a weakness.
That's to be expected with someone his size, though it is something he has worked on all offseason.
Feldman notes that his strength is otherworldly, being able to bench press 485 pounds, squat 800 and power clean 375. Not only that, he managed to vertical jump 38 inches and broad jump 10-4.

A true freak.
WR, Ryan Coleman-Williams at #38
Over the past two seasons, the athletic ability of Ryan Coleman-Williams is impossible to ignore.
With his ability to make defenders miss, wiggle through traffic, and display gymnastic-level body control, Coleman-Williams is easily one of the more impressive athletes in college football.
He burst onto the scene in his freshman season with one of the most impressive performances against powerhouse Georgia, but failed to put on a similar dynamic performance since.
When he initially arrived on campus as a 17-year-old, Coleman-Williams was 160 pounds. Two seasons later, he's now 185 pounds, and can squat 465, with a power clean of 295.

To the surprise of hardly anyone, Feldman reports that his jump numbers are in the top one-percent, with a 44-inch vertical and an 11-2 broad jump, while clocking a top speed at 23.1 mph.
S, Bray Hubbard at #54
With one of the most fascinating stories in all of college football, Bray Hubbard took the non-traditional route.
Originally a commit as a quarterback to Southern Mississippi, Nick Saban and Pete Golding recruited Hubbard to be a safety .
Last season, Hubbard earned second-team All-America honors, while posting 79 tackles, leading the SEC with four interceptions, 4.5 tackles for loss, six pass breakups and three forced fumbles.

While his athleticism is superb, by benching 430 pounds, squatting 620, while posting a 39-inch vertical, and running 22 mph, the most dynamic part of his game is his physicality.
He has developed an appetite for using his body, so much so that even NFL evaluators have brought up that a position change could be a good thing for Hubbard.
With four players landing on Feldman's list, it's clear that Alabama has no shortage of freakish athletes on its roster.
Now, the next step is seeing how those freakish traits translate when the Crimson Tide takes the field this season.
