49ers having Nick Bosa, Fred Warner back 'means the world' to Deommodore Lenoir originally appeared on NBC Sports Bay Area
The 49ers dealt with an array of injuries in the 2025 NFL season, and those to captains Fred Warner and Nick Bosa left big shoes to be filled on defense.
San Francisco cornerback Deommodore Lenoir did his best to be a vocal leader during that time and called it "a grind."
Now, with the 49ers' heavy hitters back on the field, Lenoir tells KNBR's Murph and Markus all seems right on the field.
"It feels like how it's supposed to be," Lenoir said. "Before they were injured, I [didn't] really play no games without them. So, just to have them back, just even practice, just seeing them in practice.
"I know it just gives the defense confidence, you know, to have everybody flying around. … Just to have them back it means the world so we can all do this together."
As for the return of Dre Greenlaw , following a one-year stint with the Denver Broncos , Lenoir adds that his presence adds even more physicality to the practice field.
"He's always the hammer," Lenoir said. "He's never the nail. Ever since I got here, you know, he's always been that physical player like every day. [I've] seen it in practice, you know, from play one."
The 49ers bowed out of the 2025 NFC Divisional Round with a list of key members out due to injury. Heading into the 2026 season, if the lineup can stay healthy, who knows how far the team can go.
