While was initially tended to by team staff and accompanied back to the locker room, he was able to eventually return to the court for the fourth quarter.
It was certainly a sigh of relief for the 76ers that Kentavious Caldwell-Pope's injury was not serious, on a night where other players around the NBA, Oklahoma City Thunder forward Jalen Williams and Orlando Magic guard Jalen Suggs, suffered scary injuries that caused them to leave their respective games and not return.
Caldwell-Pope's return to the game, however, was not enough for the 76ers to pull off a win as they fell to the visiting Detroit Pistons, 106-93. With the loss, the 76ers are now 3-1 in the early goings of the regular season. Caldwell-Pope finished the game seven points, three rebounds, three assists and one steal in 31 minutes. He shot 3-of-8 from the field and 1-of-4 from the 3-point line.
