Just days after agreeing to an Exhibit 10 contract with the Denver Nuggets , former Tennessee State University standout Aaron Nkrumah has officially secured a spot on the franchise's 2026 NBA Summer League roster.
Nkrumah, who went unselected in the 2026 NBA Draft, will join the Nuggets in Las Vegas from July 10-19. The opportunity represents another major milestone in a remarkable basketball journey that began at the Division III level before culminating in a stellar Division I career at Tennessee State.
The 6-foot-6 guard entered the professional radar following a dominant senior campaign in which he was named the Ohio Valley Conference (OVC) Player of the Year. During the 2025-26 season, Nkrumah anchored the Tigers by averaging 17.7 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 3.0 assists per game, while cementing his reputation as a lockdown defender with 2.8 steals per contest. His leadership propelled Tennessee State to an OVC Tournament title and their first NCAA Tournament appearance in over three decades.

Nkrumah's draft stock soared during the pre-draft cycle. As the sole HBCU player invited to the G League Elite Camp—where he logged a standout 22-point scrimmage performance—he earned one of only five call-ups to the prestigious NBA Draft Combine, showcasing a 6-foot-10¼ wingspan that intrigued front offices.
Though he bypassed the draft board, the Denver Nuggets signed Nkrumah to an Exhibit 10 deal, which serves as a non-guaranteed, one-year contract. Under this agreement, the Nuggets hold the flexibility to elevate him to a two-way contract before the regular season or retain his rights with their G League affiliate, where he would be eligible for a roster bonus.
With Denver's training camp officially underway, Nkrumah now heads to Las Vegas to prove he belongs on an NBA court.
