Alex Cappa, former Bengals guard, released by Raiders
The Las Vegas Raiders announced they released Alex Cappa , one year after signing the former Bengals guard to a two-year, $11.2 million deal .
ESPN's Adam Schefter reported in March 2025 that Cappa's deal with the Raiders included $5.5 million fully guaranteed at signing.
Two days earlier, the Bengals announced they released Cappa, the team's starting guard for three seasons.
Cappa played four seasons for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers before coming to Cincinnati after the 2021 season.
Cappa was a teammate of Raiders minority owner Tom Brady in Tampa Bay .
Earlier, NFL Network reported that the Houston Texans are releasing former Bengals running back Joe Mixon .
