Chase is also entering Madden NFL 27 as a member of the exclusive 99 Club for the second consecutive year. discussed his gaming habits in comments shared by CulturedUpdatez on X. He admitted that choosing Dallas has become a regular routine whenever he plays Madden.
"Also because I do always grab Dallas Cowboys every time that I play Madden. I don't know why. That's so. I don't know why."
Chase then explained the memories behind his choice, pointing to a former Cowboys lineup that was particularly effective in the game. That combination clearly left a lasting impression on Chase. The preference is especially interesting given Chase's connection to the Bengals. Since entering the NFL, he has established himself as one of Cincinnati's most important offensive weapons. However, his gaming choice shows that childhood or earlier gaming memories can outlast professional loyalties.
Chase's real-life performances have also earned him recognition in Madden. He received a 99 overall rating in Madden NFL 26 and retained that status for Madden NFL 27, placing him among the game's highest-rated players.
He is the first and only Bengals player to reach the 99 Club, underscoring his standing among the league's elite. The latest edition also features Josh Allen, Matthew Stafford, Myles Garrett, and Trey McBride in the exclusive group.
Chase's production helps explain that recognitio n. During the 2025 season, he recorded 125 receptions for 1,412 yards and eight touchdowns. He also earned First-Team All-Pro honors for the second time in his career. Also, he earned selection to play in his fifth Pro Bowl by the end of the season. This season, he has picked up from where he left off by registering 27 receptions for 289 yards and 4 touchdowns through 5 games.

Those accomplishments have made Chase a standout both on the field and in the virtual game. Yet his preferred Madden team remains tied to a different era, when Romo, Bryant, and Murray provided the ingredients for his favorite offensive plays. For Chase, picking the Cowboys is less about current NFL rivalries and more about remembering what made Madden enjoyable in the first place. Even as a 99-rated Bengals star, he still reaches for the team that helped create some of his favorite gaming memories.
