The Cincinnati Bengals have found a pillar in the pass blocking game in Amarius Mims.
He is not letting rushers get to Joe Burrow, allowing pressure on just 4% of his snaps.
But even more impressive is the fact that he's doing it while being left alone in one-on-one situations 87.6% of the time, the second highest rate among all offensive tackles.
His overall pass block win rate according to Pro Football Focus is 96.1%.
In other words, o-line coach Scott Peters knows he doesn't have to worry about Mims handling his guy, which allows other linemen to get more help as needed.
We talked to Peters' mentor, Hall of Fame coach Jim McNally, about the advantage Mims provides, similar to Anthony Muñoz, whom McNally coached to a legendary career. Watch the clip below.
Still, McNally thinks Mims has room to get even better.
McNally helped us break down the Bengals' matchup against Trey Hendrickson and the Baltimore Ravens in our latest show.
