Philadelphia Eagles fans watched their team jump out to a 10-0 lead in Landover on Sunday night, and then watched Washington score the next 27 points. The 27-10 loss to the Commanders was the sixth straight loss for a team that is now 2-6.
Philadelphia actually held the ball longer, 33:31 to 26:29, but it didn't score after the first quarter. Tanner McKee was sacked five times, the offense turned it over twice and Washington kicker Drew Stevens made four field goals, including a 56-yarder.

S Andrew Mukuba
Mukuba made nine tackles, broke up a pass and forced the first-quarter fumble by Chig Okonkwo that Zack Baun recovered. Saquon Barkley scored on a 3-yard run three plays later.
His 87.7 overall grade was the best on the team, according to PFF, and his 88.5 coverage grade led the defense too. On a night when little went right, the second-year safety gave Philadelphia something to build on.
WR Makai Lemon
Lemon led the Eagles with six catches for 57 yards on nine targets, with a long of 20. With DeVonta Smith out, the rookie was the receiver McKee looked for most.
It wasn't a breakout, but it was another step. He was on the field for 65 snaps, and he's becoming a bigger part of the offense while the Eagles field trade calls on receivers .
Losers

QB Tanner McKee
McKee completed 23 of 34 passes for 212 yards with no touchdown passes and an interception, a 72.2 passer rating. Charles Omenihu stripped him in the third quarter, and Washington turned that into a field goal. Rasul Douglas then picked him off late in the fourth to set up Rachaad White's 1-yard touchdown run.
He was sacked five times for 35 yards. Not all of that is on him, but the Eagles' last three possessions before garbage time ended in a fumble, a missed field goal and an interception.
OLB Jonathan Greenard
Greenard played 28 snaps and finished with a 42.4 grade, according to PFF. He rushed the passer 18 times and didn't record a pressure.
Jalen Carter and Nolan Smith Jr. each had a sack, but the Eagles got only nine pressures on Jayden Daniels as a team. Carter has already made a curious admission about expectations for this defense, and the edge rush isn't helping the case.
The offense after the first quarter
Philadelphia's possessions after it went up 10-0 ended punt, punt, punt, end of half, punt, fumble, missed field goal, interception. A 15-play, 57-yard drive that took 7:35 off the fourth-quarter clock ended with a missed Jake Elliott field goal.
Barkley ran 13 times for 30 yards, and the Eagles converted 5 of 15 third downs. Right guard Tyler Steen (58.4) and right tackle Markel Bell (57.1) graded well below left tackle Jordan Mailata's 77.2, according to PFF. Mailata, who has refused to make excuses this season, was the lone bright spot up front.
