Reese had already broken the season mark
The 500-rebound milestone came after Reese had already established the WNBA's single-season rebounding record. On Aug. 24, she grabbed 26 rebounds against the Los Angeles Sparks and surpassed A'ja Wilson's previous mark of 451.
That same performance also produced the WNBA single-game rebounding record. Atlanta defeated Los Angeles 78-71, and Reese finished the game with 458 rebounds for the season.

Against Chicago, Reese added another double-double to reach 31 for the season. The latest milestone came with 23 points and 10 rebounds during Atlanta's 25-point victory.
