The Netherlands international joined City from AC Milan in June 2025. In total, he made 50 appearances for the club and scored seven goals across all competitions.
The 28-year-old is a technically gifted central midfielder with great stamina and a keen eye for goal. He is now set to begin a new challenge in the Saudi Pro League.
Speaking about his time at Manchester City, Reijnders said he would look back on his spell at the Etihad Stadium with very fond memories:
"I had the incredible privilege of playing for Manchester City, and I enjoyed every minute here. From the very first moment, everyone at the club – players, coaches and staff – made me feel welcome and part of the Manchester City family. I would also like to say a very special thank you to the City fans, who gave both me and my family such a warm welcome and so much support. Being part of the team that won those two special titles last season was an incredible experience and an achievement I will always remember. I may be moving on, but Manchester City will always hold a special place in my heart."
