The Arizona Cardinals had to sign a new defensive lineman because of an injury to one of their players from last season. It wasn't because of Walter Nolen , though, despite his leaving practice early on Friday.
It was to replace PJ Mustipher . Mustipher was placed on injured reserve with a foot injury he suffered in training camp, and the Cardinals signed defensive lineman Brodric Martin to replace him.

Martin is 6-5 and 330 pounds. He entered the league in 2023 as a third-round pick of the Detroit Lions . He struggled with his weight and injuries in Detroit and played in only five games in his first two seasons.
Since then, he has spent time with the Kansas City Chiefs , Pittsburgh Steelers and Las Vegas Raiders , appearing in one game for the Steelers last season.
He now joins the Cardinals at the back of their depth chart with a shot to make an NFL roster again.
