Arizona lands former All-MAC First-Teamer in transfer portal
The Arizona Wildcats are no strangers to recruiting players with international backgrounds under head coach Tommy Lloyd. The Big 12 champions have a received a commitment from a Lithuanian forward who just so happens to have a bunch of college basketball experience on his resume.
Ugnius Jarusevicius will suit up for his fourth different school with Arizona next season, after having played for Cal State Bakersfield, Central Michigan and Nebraska consecutively.
Jarusevicius' time with the Cornhuskers didn't go as expected, but he was an All-MAC first-team performer two seasons ago at Central Michigan. The 6-foot-11 forward averaged over 16 points per game that year as a junior.
It'll be interesting to see how Lloyd uses Jarusevicius next season, but the Wildcats already have a sizeable frontline with the return of Ivan Kharchenkov and Motiejus Krivas.
