In a recent report , journalist Graeme Bailey offered an update on Arsenal and their pursuit of Paris Saint-Germain winger Desire Doue. It has been mentioned that the Gunners have been dealt a blow in their efforts to sign the French wide player as talks between the player and the Ligue 1 club are progressing over a new contract.
Doue has enjoyed a decent run of form at the French club as he has put in a few influential displays for them in the final third. The 21-year-old has scored four times and picked up four assists in 12 matches for PSG this season in all competitions.
The French talent is currently one of the most talented wide players in Ligue 1 . Hence, it is no wonder that the Gunners are eyeing a move to bring him to the Emirates Stadium next year.
His current contract at the French club will run out in the summer of 2029, which could make it tough for Arsenal to snap him up on the cheap this January or at the end of this season.

Doue is a good dribbler with the ball at his feet and can make a few driving runs with it out in the wide areas. He has the vision to engineer some decent chances in the final third and can shoot the ball with power from long range.
The French talent can even chip in by scoring and creating his fair share of goals from the flanks. Doue is primarily a right-winger but can also operate as a left-sided wide player or play in the number ten position if needed. However, there are some concerns on whether he can cope with the physical side and high intensity of the Premier League if the Gunners manage to convince him to make a move to England next year.
Doue would add more firepower to Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta's attack. He has what it takes to fight for a regular first-team spot at the North London club in the coming seasons.
At 21, Doue has the potential to be a future star in English football as long as he continues to improve with each season. Hence, Arteta would be wise to go all out to sign him in 2027.
