Arsenal watched Porto game because of three targets
Arsenal were among the clubs reportedly represented by scouts when FC Porto faced PSV in the Champions League in midweek, as the Gunners continue to assess potential transfer targets. The match offered an opportunity to watch players from the Portuguese side competing against strong opposition, with observers in attendance to evaluate their performances at the highest level.
Arsenal have been linked with several Porto players over recent months, raising the possibility that they could attempt to sign at least one of them in a future transfer window. Arsenal are keen to strengthen their squad with quality additions, and scouting players in important European fixtures allows them to gather valuable information before making decisions.

A Champions League encounter against PSV provided Porto's players with a platform to demonstrate their abilities against a strong opponent. Arsenal's reported presence suggested that the club were interested in assessing specific individuals, particularly those who have already been linked with a possible move to the Emirates Stadium.
Arsenal keep an eye on three Porto players
According to Sport Witness , Arsenal have been interested in signing William Gomes, Victor Froholdt and Oskar Pietuszewski over the last few months. The report suggests that the Gunners' scouts may have attended the match to assess the trio and determine whether they could be suitable additions to the squad.
Watching potential recruits in demanding matches can help clubs understand how they respond to pressure and perform against quality opposition. For Arsenal, the fixture represented an opportunity to gather further information about the three players and consider whether any of them could meet the club's recruitment requirements.

Gunners may need another opportunity to assess targets
Porto's disappointing performance against PSV, where they lost 1-0, does not necessarily mean Arsenal will abandon their interest in the Porto players. A single match provides only a limited picture of a player's ability, and scouts generally need to consider performances across several fixtures before reaching a firm conclusion.
The Gunners will continue looking for players who can improve their squad, and their reported interest in Gomes, Froholdt and Pietuszewski suggests that Porto remains a club they are monitoring closely.
Arsenal may therefore need to watch the trio again in another match before deciding whether to pursue a transfer.
