Assessing Emmanuel Pregnon's performance at the 2026 NFL Combine

The NFL Combine is nearing its conclusion as every position group has participated in their drills and medical testing with the exception of offensive linemen. The Oregon Ducks have been represented in each day of the combine, and today was no different as Emmanuel Pregnon took the field to show off his talents.

While his draft projection was already pretty good, consistently being considered a day-two pick, the versatile offensive lineman got a chance to climb up some big boards, and it appears that he did exactly that. Pregnon showcased his extraordinary athleticism for his size, finishing at or near the top of his position group in numerous assessments.

He seemed to generate some of the most buzz out of all the big men who participated in on-field drills, which could see his stock rise over the next two months leading up to the draft. His numbers in the measurable events spoke for themselves, but he also impressed scouts in his position drills, showcasing his fluidity and motor, which potentially set him apart from the rest of the pack.

Let’s take a look at exactly how Pregnon performed, and how his numbers stacked up against the rest of the competition.

Pregnon underwhelmed slightly in the 40-yard dash, but it shouldn’t impact his stock or perception much. What he lacks in speed and quickness, he more than makes up for in power and explosion.

While this time was below average among the other guards at the combine, it’s actually pretty standard for guards historically at this event. This particular drill somewhat nullifies Pregnon’s relatively slow 40-yard dash, proving that he is slightly more nimble than what he showed there.

The powerful Ducks guard dazzled everyone associated with the combine with his vertical jump. Not only did he outperform every guard on the field today, but he was tied for second among all offensive linemen in this event. Pregnon’s herculean lower body is going to make NFL coaches salivate at the prospect of coaching him.

What else is there to say? Pregnon proved that while he may not be the most agile blocker, he is one of the most explosive offensive linemen in the draft. With numbers like these, he may have turned himself into a first-round pick, but only time will tell.
