🚑 Atleti confirm the bad news, Sørloth out with a muscle injury
Alexander Sørloth will not be available for the start of the new season. The Norwegian striker suffered a physical setback during training last week, which raised alarm bells among the coaching staff.
As first reported by Cadena SER and confirmed by the club minutes later, medical tests have confirmed that the forward is suffering from a muscle strain. This diagnosis leaves the player out of the group's training routine at the most crucial stage of summer preparation.

The medical staff's estimates point to a recovery period of around four weeks on the sidelines. This timeframe completely rules out the possibility of the Nordic striker being in optimal condition for the opening matchday of the league season.
The absence is a significant setback for the team's tactical plans, as they will be without one of their main penalty-box references in the opening official fixtures of the competition.
The club's medical staff will monitor his progress on a daily basis to avoid any kind of relapse and ensure his return to the pitch as soon as possible.
