Austin Peay football is looking to bounce back on the road.
The Governors (5-2, 1-1 United) travel to West Georgia (1-5, 0-1) on Oct. 17 (1 p.m. CST on ESPN+). Austin Peay is coming off of its first FCS loss of the season, which came to second-ranked Tarleton State, 40-32.

Austin Peay made things interesting late against the Texans, pulling within eight points in the final seconds, but the Hail Mary attempt fell short. Quarterback Chris Parson rushed for two touchdowns against Tarleton State, becoming the program's all-time leader in quarterback rushing touchdowns with 20.
West Georgia is also looking to avenge a Week 6 loss to Eastern Kentucky, 30-20, on Oct. 10. The Wolves have one win this season, against Fort Valley State, 49-7, in Week 5.
The Leaf-Chronicle will be providing updates from the game.
