Barcelona, for their part, are looking to move on from academy product Alejandro Balde, who has fallen firmly out of favour in the plans of manager Hansi Flick.
All the while, the Blaugrana are keeping a close eye on the situation of Juventus star Andrea Cambiaso, appreciated for his versatility and technical qualities.
As per a report from Fichajes , citing information from European transfer insider Ekrem Konur, Deco and the Camp Nou brass are considering a €25 million offer for Cambiaso.
With Juventus seeking a fee closer to €40 million, however, it is also suggested that:
'The possibility of proposing a swap deal involving Alejandro Balde may also be under consideration.'
