Barcelona secured an emphatic 6-1 victory over Deportivo Alaves to mark their return to winning ways in La Liga .
Braces from Raphinha and Lamine Yamal and a goal apiece from Fermin Lopez and Anthony Gordon helped Flick's men secure the three points.
However, the game also highlighted the situation of one player who has been struggling for minutes recently. Despite Flick resting Pedri in the second half, Gavi remained an unused substitute.
Barcelona's midfield is packed with quality, and the competition for places is starting to affect the young Spaniard.
According to Diario AS , the 22-year-old has started just two matches this season, accumulating a paltry total of 191 minutes.
He has not played a single minute in the last two games against Real Madrid or Alaves and continues to wait for an opportunity.
Only four Barcelona first-team players have played fewer minutes: Alejandro Balde (116), Frenkie de Jong (98), Brian Farinas (90) and Roony Bardghji (0).

Gavi started the opening league match against Elche, partnering Marc Bernal in midfield. He had to wait almost two months for his next start against Getafe.
His situation has been complicated by Barcelona being spoilt for choice in that position. Rodri, Pedri, Bernal and Frenkie de Jong all seem to be ahead of him for the deeper midfield role.
In attacking midfield, Fermin Lopez and Dani Olmo rotate, leaving Gavi with nowhere to go.
Flick has consistently spoken very highly of Gavi, his ability and the quality and mentality he can bring to midfield.
However, despite the public backing, the German manager has been unable to find a role for the Spaniard in his team.

It is a shame to see Gavi, a fan favourite, reach this point in his career after the incredible start he had in the first team.
Once undroppable from the starting XI, the 22-year-old is barely getting opportunities to prove himself, even off the bench.
Successive injury problems have really taken the sting out of Gavi's footballing career, and he needs to start showing some improvement.
The upcoming fixtures could see the Spaniard get an opportunity, and he needs to show Hansi Flick why he deserves more minutes.
The only way for Gavi to prove a point is through his actions, and it remains to be seen how he fares in the coming weeks.
