Things are starting to get busier in Raleigh. The first summer session starts next week, so many of the players should be on campus to begin the summer skills and conditioning programs. We know Kyle Evanswill not be there for another month while he finishes school at UC-Irvine.

Coach Gainey probably completes his staff with these two hires. Ogi Vasiljevic is coming in as the fifth assistant coachand Matt Holt as Director of Scouting. As he mentioned in his opening presser, he wanted to hire some younger assistant coaches to more closely relate to the players, both of these guys are young. He’s adding this guys just as the players start showing up.

Coach Vasiljevic comes in after one season at South Alabama where he wore two hats, both Assistant Coach and Director of Basketball Operations. Prior to that he started his career in 2020-21 at NAIA Life University. He played college ball at Arkansas-Fort Smith as a freshman and transferred to Ohio Valley for two seasons. He is a native of Loznica Serbia and played on their national team. It is expected he will add valuable international experience that will help the Wolfpack recruit European ball.

Matt Holt comes from Georgia Tech where he was the Director of Player Personnel for three seasons. Prior to that he spent six seasons at Nebraska, before that at his alma mater Northeastern. After graduating, Holt began his career in 2011-12 at Rhode Island College.
