A former wide receiver of the Pittsburgh Steelers is looking for a new NFL home.
The Chicago Bears have released former Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Ray-Ray McCloud with an injury settlement, according to Sean Hammond of the Chicago Tribune .
McCloud, 29, played for the Steelers during the 2020 and 2021 seasons. During that span, he recorded 59 catches for 354 yards but zero touchdowns.

Most of his contributions came on special teams, though. McCloud returned 67 punts for 665 yards and 63 kickoffs for 1,422 yards.
In 2021, he led the NFL in punt returns (38) and punt return yards. McCloud averaged 9.7 yards per punt return and 22.2 yards per kickoff return, finishing in the top 15 in both categories. Offensively, he also set a career-high in nearly every category, catching 39 of 66 targets for 277 yards. He rushed twice for 15 yards, too.

McCloud began his career as a sixth-round pick in the 2018 NFL Draft by the Buffalo Bills. He only lasted one year in Buffalo before joining the Carolina Panthers in 2019.

Following his two-year stint in Pittsburgh, McCloud landed with the 49ers on a two-year, $10.4 million deal. He later went on to play for the Atlanta Falcons (2024-25) and New York Giants (2025) as well. McCloud signed with the Bears on Aug. 10.
A native of Tampa, Florida, McCloud has recorded 159 receptions for 1,523 yards and two touchdowns in his professional career.
