The Chicago Bears are finally turning the corner as a franchise, with Caleb Williams looking like a superstar and Ben Johnson leading the Bears on a playoff run.

But, with this changing of the tides comes some difficult admissions and decisions. Moving on from draft picks from before Johnson got to Chicago is very much on the table.

One such player, a 2024 third-round offensive lineman, hasn't worked out at all. ESPN's Aaron Schatz is urging the Bears to cut ties with this bust, as 24-year-old Kiran Amegadejie needs a change of scenery to try to turn his career around.

"It's a sham to get rid of a player who grew up near the Windy City, but it's pretty clear that Amagadejie isn't in the Bears' plans going forward," Schatz writes.

The 2024 draft pick hasn't worked out in the NFL at all. He played in just six games in his NFL career so far, none of which occurred in 2025.

He made one start and played in just six games his rookie season in 2024, recording just 125 snaps played in his only action in the NFL.

The Yale prospect was taken 75th overall and was being worked out as an interior offensive lineman amid a position switch from tackle during his collegiate career.

But it didn't work out, and Amagadejie didn't suit up for the Bears much in his limited career. There's not much reason for the Bears to have Amagadejie on the roster, so cutting him this offseason makes a lot of sense.

While he might draw interest from other teams around the league, it's most likely as a depth offensive lineman, and not worthy of giving up more than a late-round pick swap, if that.

The Bears might have to cut the local draft prospect this offseason, as Amagadejie was a bust in Chicago after just two years with the team.
