New Bengals DT Jonathan Allen made 2020 tackle that injured Joe Burrow
Before he reportedly agreed to terms on a two-year deal with the Cincinnati Bengals , defensive tackle Jonathan Allen was best known by most Bengals' fans as a player who was in on a hit that injured Cincinnati's franchise quarterback during his first NFL season.
Bengals starting quarterback Joe Burrow suffered a season-ending knee injury in November 2020 on a hit by Allen and defensive end Montez Sweat , against Washington.
Sweat came from Burrow's right side and did not hit the QB's leg.
Cincinnati lost that game, 20-9.
Brandon Allen took over as the Bengals' starting quarterback. The Bengals lost four of their last six games that 2020 season, and finished 4-11-1.
