Harry Kane is in the peak of his career.
The Englishman received the coveted Ballon d'Or, making him the best player in the world at 33 years of age. 61 goals and seven assists across all competitions, a Bundesliga, DFB-Pokal, and Franz Beckenbauer Supercup, and third place at the FIFA World Cup was enough to earn him football's most esteemed individual award. Although, Kane is no stranger to impressive solo performances.
At Tottenham Hotspur, the Ballon d'Or winner featured in six Premier League Team of the Years, won three golden boots, and even secured the Playmaker of the Season award, registering 14 assists in the 2020/21 season. But Bayern Munich proved to be the perfect environment for Kane to shatter sky-high expectations.
As a result, the bagsman committed his immediate future to Bayern, extending his contract through to June 30, 2029.
Kane touched on the special moment in his career after being asked whether he was enjoying the best time of his life.
"Yeah, I'd say it is," admitted the attacker (via @iMiaSanMia ). "This period I'm in right now, and even going into last season, some of the best moments I've had on the pitch and also off the pitch."
However, it's not all sunshine and rainbows. Kane shared some of the difficulties that comes with all the attention he's received over the last couple of weeks.
"Like I said, these last couple of weeks have been pretty crazy, but in a good way – you know me as a person. I'm not someone who craves the attention, so it's been a lot, to be honest. It's a lot emotionally and mentally, and obviously in between that we've had important games, so I've tried to just focus on that."
Despite the craziness, the Three Lions captain reiterated his satisfaction with his present situation.
"But yeah, right now I'm in a really, really good place, happy place. I'm not the type of person who gets too high in these moments because I know there's always lows around the corner, always moments you're going to have to deal with. So I try and stay level-headed as always. But ultimately, yeah, it's been an important year and a bit, and especially these last few weeks have been incredible. So, right now I'm in a happy place, and long may it continue."
