A Buffalo Bills veteran defender has announced what his future plans could be.

That veteran defender is defensive lineman Jordan Phillips , who told ESPN's Alaina Getzenberg that he is considering retirement in 2026. If he does play, it will only be for the Bills.
"Bills DT Jordan Phillips is leaving the door open to playing again next year. Not positive yet if he will, but once again, it would only be for the Bills," Getzenberg reported.
A former second-round pick of the Miami Dolphins back in 2015, Phillips has been in the league for 11 seasons, playing in contests for the Dolphins, Bills, Arizona Cardinals and Dallas Cowboys .
Phillips has had several stints with the Bills, the first of which started in 2018. After going to the Cardinals in 2020, where he spent two seasons, Phillips landed back in Buffalo for the 2022 and 2023 campaigns.

Following a brief stint with the Cowboys, Phillips ended up back with the Bills in 2024, and then he returned to Buffalo in 2025, appearing in 11 games (one start) before ultimately landing on injured reserve with a foot injury.
At 33, it's clear Phillips doesn't have much left in the tank, so it's understandable why he might call it a career.
Say what you want about his play on the field in recent years, but his loyalty to the Bills is admirable.
With free agency not set to start until a shade under two months from now, we might not know Phillips' fate for a bit.
