Portland Blazers veteran Damian Lillard reflected on his astonishing off-season feat of making 100,000 shots ahead of his comeback season. After Lillard made a jaw-dropping 1,100-of-1,168 attempts in one shooting session, the nine-time All-Star guard reflected on his process.

Lillard discussed how he's been committed to his shooting regimen every morning during the offseason, which led to push his limits while tracking his development.
"Every morning I was coming in doing my rehab, getting shots up. Once I was cleared to do basketball activities, I was getting like 150 makes, 200 makes, and I thought I was really doing something because it had been so long since I had gotten some court work in," Lillard said. "So, they started to show me my numbers. How many makes I had, what my percentages were, how many swishes I had, the quality of the makes; things like that.

"Then, eventually, once I got to about 8,000, I was like, by this time next year, I'm gonna try and make 100,000. And then, we really started tracking every workout that I did. We made sure those numbers went into the system. And today was the day I was able to cross over that 100,000 mark."
The Blazers put Damian Lillard's 100,100 made threes into perspective recently, revealing how close he was to reaching the 103,227-mark, which the total amount of three made in the NBA last season. Lillard, who spent the entire 2025-26 season rehabbing from a ruptures Achilles injury, is slated to make his return for the Blazers in 2026-27.

After 11 years with the Blazers, Lillard spent two seasons with the Milwaukee Bucks before inking a three-year, $41.6 million deal to return to the team that drafted him sixth overall in the 2012 draft.
