The St. Louis Blues, who recently hired Alexander Steen as their general manager, have announced a key depth signing to their lineup after the trade of Jordan Kyrou to the Washington Capitals and the acquisition of Mason Marchment from the Anaheim Ducks and Brandon Carlo from the Toronto Maple Leafs.

The Blues are signing former Calgary Flames forward Dillon Dube to a one-year contract. Per reports, the deal is a one-year, one-way contract worth $850,000.
Originally taken by the Flames in the second round (56th overall) of the 2016 NHL Draft, he went on to play 325 NHL games with the organization, producing 57 goals and 70 assists for 127 points while adding 105 penalty minutes.
The 27-year-old forward earned a fresh opportunity last season after signing an American Hockey League professional tryout with the affiliate Springfield Thunderbirds on Dec. 10, 2025. He quickly became one of the club's top offensive contributors, finishing tied for second with 20 goals and finished fourth overall in scoring with 37 points in 46 regular-season contests.
The Golden, British Columbia, native carried that momentum into the Calder Cup Playoffs, collecting five goals and three assists in 12 games as Springfield advanced to the Atlantic Division Finals.

So far in his NHL career, Dube has scored 57 goals and 70 assists in 325 games.
He was one of the five players who were acquitted in July 2025 of sexual assault charges from an incident in 2018 when they were on Canada's world junior team, among them being Carter Hart, who signed with the Vegas Golden Knights and advanced to the 2026 Stanley Cup Final against the Carolina Hurricanes.
