Borussia Dortmund vs Werder Bremen – Predicted lineup and team news
Borussia Dortmund welcome Werder Bremen to Signal Iduna Park on Tuesday for their DFB-Pokal second-round tie, aiming to preserve their unbeaten record in domestic competition this season.
BVB arrive in good form after winning their last two matches. Their recent run has been uneven: they drew 2-2 with Bremen in the Bundesliga, then lost 1-0 at home to Bodø/Glimt in the Champions League. Dortmund responded positively, beating Sabah FK 2-1 away in Europe before edging Eintracht Frankfurt 1-0, a result that has restored belief within the squad.

Borussia Dortmund team news
Niko Kovac has several team-news issues to manage ahead of the cup clash. Chukwuemeka has been given the green light to feature after missing the opening part of the week's training due to a planned workload break. In defence, Gadou is set to come straight back into the first team.
There are, however, important players unavailable. Bensebaini is ruled out as he completes the last game of the suspension he received in the Franz Beckenbauer Supercup.
Meyer, Dortmund's reserve goalkeeper, is a major doubt for a place among the substitutes after illness—a fever and cold—kept him away from training.

Dortmund also remain without several long-term casualties. Karetsas is continuing his recovery from an ankle-ligament injury, while Can, Konstantelias and Lerma are all still sidelined with serious injuries.
