The Boston Bruins have made a roster move, as they have signed forward Ivan Ivan to a one-year, two-way contract for the 2026-27 season. The Bruins also shared that Ivan will have a $850,00 cap hit at the NHL level.
The Bruins just acquired Ivan from the Colorado Avalanche over the weekend in exchange for former first-round pick Fabian Lysell. Now, just two days later, Ivan has landed his contract for the season with the Bruins.

Ivan appeared in nine games last season with the Avalanche, where he posted one assist, three hits, and a plus-1 rating. He spent the bulk of the season with the Colorado Eagles of the AHL, though, recording 11 goals, 15 assists, and 26 points in 66 games.
Ivan also played in 40 games for the Avalanche during the 2024-25 campaign, where he posted five goals, three assists, and eight points.
The Bruins will now be hoping that Ivan can develop in the right direction and become a full-time NHL player for them. It will be interesting to see how much of an impact he makes next season, whether he is playing in the NHL with Boston or the AHL with the Providence Bruins.
