The Boston Red Sox are set to play the Chicago White Sox at Fenway Park at 7:10 p.m. EDT on Thursday.
Before Thursday's game, the Red Sox announced an injury update on first baseman Triston Casas.

MassLive's Chris Cotillo wrote on X : "Triston Casas had arthroscopic wrist surgery today, Red Sox announce."
Casas last appeared in a game for Boston in May 2025 . He suffered a season-ending knee injury that required surgery.
In April, Casas suffered a left abdominal strain while rehabbing his knee.

Manager Chad Tracy announced in July that Casas had been shut down to an injured wrist, per Cotillo .
"He's gone through a lot, between the knee, then he had a little hamstring flareup, obviously the oblique and he's come back from that and now there's a wrist that's popped up," Tracy said . "We'll keep an eye and once he's able to, keep progressing."
