The Atlanta Braves have another Ronald Acuna Jr. injury concern, and this one could stretch longer than fans hoped. The latest Braves injury update lists Acuna Jr. with a Grade 1 left hamstring strain , placing his recovery timeline under real caution. Atlanta put him on the 10-day IL on June 10, but the club may now hold him out until after the All-Star break .

That changes the feel around a team still sitting in a strong position. Atlanta is 48-30 and remains on top of the NL East. Yet the Braves have lost seven of their last 10 games and enter the moment on a three-game skid. The latest blow came on a Manny Machado walk-off, which only made the road trip feel heavier.
Ronald Acuna Jr.'s injury kept him off the team's current trip through June 28, showing the Braves see this as more than a quick reset. This is his second hamstring strain since the start of May, giving Atlanta every reason to slow the process down.
Braves must protect Ronald Acuna Jr. for the bigger fight
There is no replacing Ronald Acuna Jr's spark , especially when the former NL MVP and five-time All-Star can still change a game fast. Even in a season that has not fully exploded, he is slashing .251/.373/.421 with seven home runs and 22 RBI. Those numbers carry real danger every time he steps in. One swing can flip a game, and one sprint can wake up a crowd.

Still, the Braves cannot chase June answers at the cost of October dreams. That is especially true with a hamstring injury, which can linger or return at the worst time. Atlanta knows that risk, and the cautious path still makes sense.
For now, the Braves must survive without their engine, even as their division lead gives them some breathing room. Still, the recent skid has added pressure, and fans want Acuna back under the stadium lights. The better question is simple: will patience now give Atlanta its best version later?
