Head coach Eddie Howe described Bamba as a player with "huge potential for growth", praising his development since breaking into Monaco's first team and he was nominated for this year's Golden Boy award as one of the best young talents in the game.
Bamba represents a direct replacement for Sandro Tonali , who departed for Tottenham Hotspur last month.
