Milwaukee Brewers starting pitcher Jacob Misiorowski has emerged as one of the best starters in the game. He continues to find success. Misiorowski is not afraid of the big moment . Brewers pitching coach Chris Hook recently shared his thoughts on the right-handed hurler, via MLB Network Radio.
It’s a special moment in baseball to see a guy like this come around,” Hook said. “And this guy loves the moment. He loves the moment, he thrives in the moment. We saw that last year, when he came up he was his best self… This is where he thrives in those big moments… The competitiveness oozes out of Miz.”
Hook also revealed what he is most excited about when it comes to Misiorowski’s outlook.
“The thing that I’m most excited about when I see him pitch is the competitiveness.”
Misiorowski’s talent is undeniable. However, he is not the first talented pitcher the game has seen. There have been plenty of guys with high ceilings over the years. Not everybody has extreme competitiveness, though. Misiorowski seems to be one of the most competitive pitchers in the game, and Hook would clearly agree with that statement.
The Brewers are incredible when it comes to developing starting pitching. They have traded star pitchers in recent years such as Corbin Burnes and Freddy Peralta , yet they already have a new ace with a Cy Young-caliber ceiling in Jacob Misiorowski .
With a desire to win and incredible stuff on the mound, Misiorowski’s future is bright to say the least.
