Recently, Milwaukee Brewers star pitcher Jacob Misiorowski was named as an MLB All-Star for the 2026 season, with the festivities set to take place later this month in Philadelphia . The news comes amid what has been a strong year for the Brewers , with the team currently sitting 54-33, good for first place in the NL Central division.
Some fans have sounded the alarm this year about the potential for Misiorowski to sustain an elbow injury due to the intense velocity with which he throws. However, recently, the All-Star shut down those concerns.
"I get it," Misiorowski said, per Bog Nightengale of USA Today. "I get people's concerns, like obviously you look across and you see (Tarik) Skubal, another hard thrower coming back from surgery. So, I see the concerns. But at the same time, that's just how I throw. I've taught myself how to throw hard, how to recover. I think it's kind of beating a dead (horse). It gets to a point where I think I have it pretty much under control of what I need to do, week in and week out, to get my body ready for the next start. I really don't worry about it."
Up to this point, the 24 year-old has enjoyed a relatively clean bill of health throughout his career, and Brewers fans certainly hope that things stay that way moving forward. Milwaukee is looking to build off last year's trip to the NLCS, where they were swept in unceremonious fashion by the eventual World Series champion Los Angeles Dodgers .
The Brewers will next take the field at home for the final game of their series against the Arizona Diamondbacks on Sunday afternoon.
