Brighton have no concerns about losing midfielder Diego Gomez any time soon, sources have told Football Insider.
The Paraguayan has made an excellent start to the season, and his form has caught the attention of the likes of Atletico Madrid and AC Milan of late.
The Seagulls are "not surprised" by the interest in Gomez in recent weeks, but also know that they are fully prepared to keep hold of their starlet.
Sources say that Fabian Hurzeler and Co. are "relaxed" about the 23-year-old's future, as they only tied him down to a new long-term contract back in August.
That deal extended Gomez's stay at the Amex Stadium until the summer of 2031, and also contains a clause allowing the club to extend that agreement by a further year.
Brighton are very pleased with the youngster's recent progress, and expect him to continue as a key figure for them this term.
Diego Gomez's stock rising drastically
Gomez arrived at Brighton as a relative unknown when he joined from Inter Miami back in January 2025, but he has quickly made his presence known in England since then.
He notched 10 goals from midfield in his debut campaign for the South Coast outfit last term, and has already begun 2026-27 in sparkling form.
Gomez has started all eight of Brighton's Premier League games so far, and has established himself as one of the first names on the team sheet for Hurzeler.
He even made headlines by scoring a stunning goal from the halfway line during his side's recent derby-day demolition of Crystal Palace.
Gomez's stock has risen dramatically in the last 12 months, and it has prompted several of European football's elite clubs to sit up and take notice.
Nevertheless, Brighton are not fazed by the situation, and will not be forced into a panic sale of any kind.
Newcastle plotting to sign Yasin Ayari as Brighton talks 'accelerate' Newcastle plotting Yasin Ayari swoop
Former Manchester United chief scout Mick Brown told Football Insiderlast week that Brighton are "stepping up" their push to tie midfielder Yasin Ayari down to a new contract ahead of the January window.
The Swede's current deal is due to expire next summer, and that has prompted significant interest from Newcastle of late.
However, Brown believes that the Magpies are set to be thwarted in their pursuit, with Brighton and Ayari both now ready to push towards a deal.
The club have already held exploratory talks with the player's camp, and all parties are hopeful that an extension will be agreed.
