After signing UFL cornerback/returner Sean Fresch , the Denver Broncos have waived rookie cornerback Paul Manning, (No. 37) to open up a spot on the roster, according to KUSA-TV's Mike Klis .
Before the Broncos :Manning (6-1, 192 pounds) played high school football in West Monroe, Louisiana, before committing to play college football with the Henderson State Reddies (Division II) in Arkansas. He totaled 51 tackles, 16 pass breakups, three interceptions (including one pick-six), two forced fumbles, 1.5 sacks and one fumble recovery over 32 games at Henderson State.
Broncos tenure:Manning earned himself an invite to Denver Broncos rookie minicamp, which took place in May. Manning was one of just two players who earned himself a spot on the Broncos ' 91-man roster as a result of the tryout, with a chance to compete for a 53-man roster spot this summer.
Future outlook:Manning was always going to be a long shot in Denver's crowded secondary, but getting cut now doesn't rule out the possibility of a potential return down the road. If injuries pop up, Manning could be a candidate to re-sign later this summer.
