Broncos invite son of Hall of Fame quarterback to rookie minicamp
The Denver Broncos will have the son of a Pro Football Hall of Fame quarterback attending rookie minicamp this week.
The Broncos invited Fresno State quarterback E.J. Warner , the son of Kurt Warner, to the minicamp on a tryout basis. The younger Warner has accepted the invite, according to a report from NFL Network's Mike Garafolo .
Warner (6-0, 203 pounds) spent two years at Temple followed by one year at Rice before transferring to Frenso State ahead of the 2025 season. He went 7-3 as a starter last fall, throwing for 2,030 yards with 13 touchdowns against 11 interceptions. He also rushed for 126 yards and one score on the ground with the Bulldogs.
Warner previously attended the Kansas City Chiefs ' rookie camp last week, but he was not signed by KC following that tryout. After getting a look from Andy Reid, Warner will now aim to impress Sean Payton.
Denver's set to hold a rookie minicamp from May 8-10 . In addition to Warner, the club is also expected to invite a veteran quarterback to try out at the rookie camp.
