The Denver Broncos selected Texas A&M defensive tackle Tyler Onyedim with the 66th overall pick in the third round of the 2026 NFL draft on Friday evening.
Onyedim (6-3, 292 pounds) was a five-year collegiate player from Iowa State (2022-24) and Texas A&M (2025). A versatile defensive player who played all over the line from defensive tackle to defensive end, Onyedim played all over the field.
As a member of the Cyclones, Onyedim played in 40 career games, making 90 total tackles (37 solo, 53 assisted), 12 tackles for loss, three sacks, one interception, one fumble recovery and one pass deflection. In 2024, Onyedim was named an honorable mention All-Big 12 defender.
In his lone season with the Aggies, Onyedim had the best year of his collegiate career, with career highs in total tackles (48), tackles for loss (8.5), and sacks (2.5), also forcing a fumble.
NFL.com's Lance Zeirlien has compared Onyedim to Atlanta Falcons defensive lineman Brandon Dorlus . Onyedim could compete for a role to fill the absence of John Franklin-Myers , who departed for the Tennessee Titans in free agency in March.
Next pick: 108th overall (fourth round).
