Broncos signing younger brother of All-Pro special teams ace

After the NFL draft ended on Saturday evening, the Denver Broncos quickly started reaching agreements with undrafted free agents .

So far, our unofficial tracker has the 14 players set to sign with the Broncos as UDFAs (but those deals won't become official until confirmed by the club). One of the pending signings ( announced by the school ) is Nebraska wide receiver Dane Key .

Key (6-3, 203 pounds) may sound and look familiar to fans in Denver — he is the younger brother of Broncos safety Devon Key . The elder Key entered the league as an undrafted free agent out of Western Kentucky with the Kansas City Chiefs in 2021, and he had a short stint with the Atlanta Falcons in 2022.

The Broncos picked Devon Key up during the 2022 season, and he later earned a rotational safety role in 2024. Key has dressed for all 17 games in each of the last two seasons, and he was named a first-team All-Pro on special teams last year.

Dane Key will now look to follow in his older brother's path. The 22-year-old receiver started his college career at Kentucky, transferring to Nebraska after three seasons. He hauled in 39 receptions for 452 yards and five touchdowns last fall, ending his college career with 165 receptions for 2,322 yards and 19 scores in 51 games.

The brothers are now reunited in the NFL, and they could go head-to-head at practice, which will be a fun storyline to track going into training camp.
