Denver Broncos wide receiver Pat Bryant was ruled out in the first quarter of Saturday's divisional round playoff game against the Buffalo Bills after suffering his second concussion in less than a month.
Bryant hauled in three receptions for 32 yards on Denver's opening drive. After his third reception, Bryant initially stayed down on the field before walking off on his own power and going into the sideline's blue medical tent to be evaluated for a possible. The rookie receiver was later ruled out with a concussion after the team's first drive.
Nine plays after Bryant's exit, Broncos quarterback Bo Nix threw what would have been a 10-yard touchdown pass to full-in receiver Lil'Jordan Humphrey, who dropped the perfectly thrown pass in the end zone. Denver was ultimately forced to settle for a field goal, settling for an early 3-0 lead.
Broncos cornerback Pat Surtain also briefly left to be evaluated for a possible injury in the first quarter but later returned to the game.
