Browns Down Two Notable Players in the Trenches Against Bills
The Cleveland Browns offensive line musical chairs received more bad news on Sunday as guard Wyatt Teller was officially ruled out for the team's Week 16 matchup against the Buffalo Bills .
Teller had been dealing with a calf injury that he suffered during the loss to the San Francisco 49ers and spent the last two weeks sidelined because of it. He returned to practice this week in a limited capacity all three days this week, before being listed as questionable.
Prior to the injury, Teller was in an intentional rotation with veteran guard Teven Jenkins at right guard during that Week 13 loss. Jenkins is now slated to man the spot on his own after dealing with a shoulder injury this week but entering the weekend without any designation.
Along with Teller, the team also ruled out DTs Sam Kamara and Mike Hall Jr. Kamara was part of the Friday injury report and was listed as questionable at the time. Hall was added to it on Saturday due to an illness. Ultimately, the illness was bad enough to force him out of action.
Headlining the Browns Week 16 inactives are star cornerback Denzel Ward and tight end David Njoku , both of whom were ruled out on Friday's final injury report. Ward has been nursing a calf injury since leaving the Tennessee Titans game two weeks back. He hasn't practiced at all since suffering the ailment.
Njoku also sustained his injury, a knee ailment, against Tennessee and was ruled out heading into the weekend. A third, notable veteran was ruled out on Friday as well, in right tackle Jack Conklin , who spent three straight weeks in the concussion protocol. He was placed on the IR on Saturday, ending his season and likely his tenure with the Browns.
Cleveland's full list of inactives includes:
CB Denzel Ward
RB Dylan

G Wyatt Teller
TE David Njoku
WR Jamari

Meanwhile, Buffalo ruled out two players on their Friday injury report in DT Jordan Phillips and OT Chase Lundt . Earlier in the week, it also ruled out kicker Matt Prater after suffering a quad injury against the New England Patriots last week. Retroactively, the Bills signed Michael Badgley to the practice squad. He was promoted to the active roster ahead of kickoff to handle the kicking duties this week.
Buffalo's inactive list features:
